Stevie is a nonbinary filmmaker who strives to take risks and uplift queer artists by exploring themes of gender, conformity, sex, and love through different physical materials. Most of their films are personal explorations, made independently, in the hopes that people can see themself in the strangeness of their art.

In programming, they desire to highlight experimental techniques and bring them to larger audiences that wouldn’t necessarily seek out abstract films otherwise. Their tastes are for the weirdos and misfits who feel like they don’t always fit in with mainstream filmmaking.

My Work

Two young women with their foreheads close, touching noses, against a brick wall background. One has dark, wavy hair and the other has light hair with hairpins.
Young woman smiling while holding a film slate that reads "Status Quo," with a tattoo on her chest and wearing a colorful headband and pink Hello Kitty necklace. In the background, another woman is looking at her phone.
